Procept joins RPDE
Greg Combet, Minister for Defence Personnel, Materiel and Science, today announced 54 companies, academic institutions and government agencies have been selected to join the Rapid Prototyping Development and Evaluation Program.
“RPDE or Rapid‟ as it is known is a collaborative venture that was established to help Defence resolve difficult and challenging problems,” said Mr Combet.
“Rapid continues to break new ground in the area of Government to private sector cooperation and collaboration. The program is focused on developing solutions to issues that hold back the ADF's capability to more effectively and safely undertake operations.”
"We're excited about the opportunity to work with the Australian Defence Force, providing our extensive expertise in product development and wireless technologies" said Aaron Maher, General Manager of Procept's embedded product development group.
Procept has an impressive amount of intellectual property in the areas of low power embedded systems, precision analogue, and wireless networks for telemetry, voice and video.
“Our technology portfolio is extremely modular which allows it to be quickly adapted to a range of applications including defence”.
